CAVALCADE FORD BANTAM BEARS SWEEP FIRST 2 ROUNDS OF OMHA PLAYOFFS
Eighteen undefeated regular season games + 5 undefeated games to take the MPS title + Clean sweep in round 1 OMHA’s against the Huntsville Ottters + Clean sweep of round 2 against the Collingwood Blackhawks  = OMHA Semi-finals.

Expectations continue to run high for the major Cavalcade Ford bantam Bears hockey club...........

Officially on route to the All Ontario playoffs, they are locked into the semi finals which begin this weekend against the Lindsay Muskies.

Round 1 started the Bears journey on the road to OMHA playoffs as they faced off against the Huntsville Otters. South Muskoka swept this series with the first game being a tight 5-4 win.  Game 2 saw a 9-0 slaughter and game 3 secured this sweep with a 6-1 final.

Round 2 had the Bears hosting the Collingwood Blackhawks. Hot off their Huntsville sweep, South Muskoka kicked this series off with a 6-2 victory.  Game 2 was a large 8-0 shutout.  The Bears squeaked out a 3-2 win to sweep this series and advance to the much anticipated, semi finals.

 Head coach Dan Blum had this to say about the road forward. “The coaching staff would like to congratulate the players on going undefeated with a 27-0-0 record in MPS and Interlock play this year.  Their consistence has been very impressive.  The team will continue to work hard and improve in practice to get ready for our next series”.
