Terry's Ind. Tyke Select, 2016-2017 (South Muskoka Minor Hockey Association)

As was mentioned earlier, our 3rd Annual Brad Pearsall Tyke Select hockey tournament was held (in conjunction with the Novice Rep team) from March 17th – 19th, 2017.   In the Tyke Select division, 9 teams in total travelled to Muskoka from other parts of Southern Ontario to compete in the Tyke component of this three day tournament.

On a bright note at the end of the tournament Grayson C. was named the “hardest worker” and was deserving of wearing the team’s “hard hat” home.  Grayson was awarded this honour, in part because of his valuable contribution at every game, to the Tyke Select team.  Grayson comes to practices and games ready to play; he works hard and his love of the game is infectious.  Throughout this weekend, Grayson never gave up; he never stopped trying and he consistently gave 100% throughout the weekend, no matter what the score was.  So congratulations Grayson – well deserved. Our 3rd Annual Brad Pearsall Tyke Select hockey tournament was held (in conjunction with the Novice Rep team) from March 17th – 19th, 2017.   In the Tyke Select division, 9 teams in total travelled to Muskoka from other parts of Southern Ontario to compete in the Tyke component of this three day tournament.

At the end of that championship game, the Hardest Worker of the Game title was awarded to Jack G. from the winning White Bears team.   Jack comes to each game ready to play and he play hard, he does.  He also has a keen sense of knowing exactly where he needs to be on offensive plays and for defensive plays, can hustle like there is no tomorrow, to make those crucial steals or thwart the other team from scoring.  Jack stepped up to the plate in this game and was a force to be reckoned with.  

On Sunday, February 26th, our Tyke Select team participated in a Tyke Fun Day hosted by the Muskoka Rock of Port Carling.  In order to even the playing field, the Tyke Select team was divided up into two teams and additional players were added such as our AP players; Weston Wolgemuth, Owen Cameron, Noah Gauthier, Jackson Jennings and Wyatt Davidson, as well some additional Novice and Tyke Players (Lincoln Wouters, Chris Reading and Charlie Davidson).
