Yet another close game between the two Scotiabank Peewee HL rivals; Giant Tiger Grizzly Bears vs. CC Tathum Kokiak Bears, with Scotiabank CC Tathum Kodiak Bears taking the win by a narrow margin, final score 4-3.
Scotiabank Peewee HL Giant Tiger Grizzly Bears got on the scoreboard within the first half of the 1st period to take an early lead 1-0, goal scored by Cole F, assisted by Ethan T. Scotiabank Peewee HL CC Tathum Kodiak Bears answered within a minute of play to tie it up 1-1. With 22 seconds remaining in the 1st period the Giant Tiger Grizzlies with a great passing play put one by the CC Tathum Kodiaks netminder to pull ahead 2-1, goal scored by Tenney D, assisted by Owen M & Jacob W.
The 2nd period brought some excellent scoring chances for both sides but it was CC Tathum Kodiaks that charged ahead with 3 quick goals. Once again in the final seconds of the period the Giant Tiger Grizzlies worked together to find the back of the net. A bullet shot from the point by defense Ethan G. created a rebound for Tenney D. to slam by the CC Tathum Kodiak netminder to make it a one goal game, 4-3 for CC Tathum at the end of the 2nd.
The 3rd period brought fast end-to-end hockey with many scoring chances for the Giant Tiger Grizzlies, but with an empty net and an extra skater the time ran out, final score 4-3 for CC Tathum Kodiak Bears. We saw some excellent goal tending at both ends of the ice, great game Cam C. and Jonathan H!
Some great passing plays, tremendous effort, and many scoring opportunities made this an exciting game to watch, keep it up team!
