Scotiabank Peewee HL Giant Tiger Grizzly Bears play hard on the road for a 3-3 tie with Parry Sound Shamrocks Peewee LL
Scotiabank Peewee HL Giant Tiger Grizzly Bears travelled to Parry Sound for the first time this season to play the Parry Sound Shamrocks Peewee LL. After an exciting 3 periods of play, and determination to the end, the Grizzly Bears came home with a tie, final score 3-3.

The game started off at a fast pace with end to end play setting up to be a close game. No goals scored until late in the 1st period with Parry Sound getting on the scoreboard first to end the period with the Grizzly Bears down 1-0.
In the 2nd period there were plenty of puck battles and some great scoring chances for our team but it was Parry Sound that pulled ahead 2-0 to end the period.
Less than a minute into the 3rd period the Giant Tiger Grizzly Bears got on the scoreboard with a top shelf goal by Tenney D , assisted by Owen M and Cole F, making it 2-1 for Parry Sound. The Grizzly Bears really turned on the pressure in the 3rd with several good scoring chances but Parry Sound put another one in with 6 1/2 minutes left, making it 3-1. The Grizzly Bears answered within 30 seconds with another goal, Cole F shot a bullet under the pads of the Parry Sound netminder with some perfectly placed passes from Tenney D and Owen M making it a one goal game , Parry Sound leading 3-2. 4 minutes left in the game, with some great stickhandling moves to get through the Parry Sound defense, Dawson S beat the goalie with a rocket wrist shot to tie the game, 3-3. The Grizzly Bears defense stepped up to keep the puck away from our net as the Parry Sound offense put on the pressure in the final minutes of the game. Grizzly Bears goaltender Cam C played a solid game, holding the puck well to keep the rebounds to a minimum.
Throughout the game the defense made some good offensive plays and the forwards were getting back to cover the defense - excellent team work! We saw some awesome passing plays, pressure in the offense by our forwards, solid defense, and 100% effort and determination right to the end of the game. Great game everyone!
