Playoff style hockey game at the Bracebridge barn...
The Progressive WS major midgets hosted the Collingwood Hawks on Sunday Oct.27th...

At 11:40 of the first period, Walker Dacison slammed a rebound from the corner of the net to start the scoring, on a defense shot from Blake Peacock.  Each team had their share of "pine warming" in the penalty box, sometimes in unison.
Not until 14:30 of the second period, did Collingwood tie the game.  At 8:30, Matthew Bedforth was fed a return pass from Walker Davison to net a go ahead goal.  A minute later, Collingwood fired up to tie the game at 2.
Fast passing, skating and forechecking by both teams continued for most of the 3rd period.  With 4:20 in the third, Collingwood scored to take the lead.
The Bears were not satisfied with the scoreboard, and kicked the tempo into next gear.  With applied pressure, solid forechecking and multiple tape to tape passes, Matthew Bedforth started the process to tie, with a feed to Micael Kruger on the point and a final bullet from Riley Vogel for the tie.

After a win against the Huntsville Otters on Saturday, the Bears travelled to Parry Sound Sunday afternoon.  Forward Walker Davison fired his first of two into the net at 11:50 of the opening period.  Nate Delarosbil scored from Evan Lade and Matt Jobson on the point.  With 3:57 left of the first, George Wood notched the 3rd from forwards Bailey Davis and Evan Lade.  With less than a minute to play, Walker Davison tallied his second goal and last Bear point of the game from Davis.  Parry Sound had a few opportunities on net during second and third period, and kept skating with the Bears, but keeper Owen Nudd notched a shut out for the Bears.  Final score in favour of the Bears 4-0.

The Bears are looking forward to the next tournament in Orillia, Thursday November 7th.  Keep the calendar free for the Home Tournament November 22-24th.
