A.W. Shier's Bantam AE, U15 (2006-2007), 2013/2014 (South Muskoka Minor Hockey Association)

The A.W. Shier's Bantam AE have had an amazing weekend of hockey in their home tournament in Bracebridge.  Playing four games and logging four W's they dominated the Bantam division of the tournament.

Thank you to A.W. Shier Insurance rep Lori McCormick for starting the Bantam A.E. game Sunday against Highland Storm by dropping the first puck of the game.  The Captain from the A.W. Shier Bantam A.E. team surprised Lori with the divisional trophy to display in their office that they won last weekend in the Port Carling Bantam Tournament.

The South Muskoka Bantam AE Bears to show appreciation for the sponsor A.W. Shier's Insurance! On Sunday, November 24th at 7:00 pm the Bears will be hosting the Highland Storm in what is expected to be a tough rematch from our last meeting.  Prior to the game the A.W. Shier's Bantam AE Bears will show some appreciation to our Sponsor with a ceremonial puck drop.  Good luck Bears, hard work will never go unnoticed!!

A.W. Shier's Bantam AE's earn Division Championship trophy in Port Carling! Breaking a 9 game losing streak the A.W. Shier's Bantam AE Bears came out with a win in the Division Championship game on Sunday in Port Carling.  After some close losses in the initial games of the tournament, the team pulled together and worked hard to move the puck deep to the net where their efforts paid off in a 4-2 win over the Shallow Lake Lakers.  Once again a very well run tournament by the Port Carling Thunder and we thank them for the opportunity to play this week end. Good work Bears! 

In our first tournament of the season the A.W. Shier's Bantam AE were unable to continue on after our first three games.  Although our games came up short of goals we felt that the tournament organizers did an excellent job of placing us against teams of equal caliber.  It was a very well run tournament and all organizers and volunteers did a great job.  We would recommend this tournament to any of South Muskoka teams in the future.
