So what does this mean for South Muskoka.....
SMMHA Board has been working hard with both Town of Bracebridge and Gravenhurst to ensure we are following proper directives from the Public Health Unit and OMHA. This has been extremely difficult for all sides and we are trying our best. The next few weeks will be a transition as we adjust to the challenges of COVID again, we need to remember as parent's and spectators that we are privileged to be able to go into the arena and watch our children play, and this is not a town or SMMHA Board decision, but we are being mandated by the Province to put these rules in place.
SMMHA: As per OMHA'S unchanged policy- By OCT. 31, 2021
Players born in 2009 are required to be fully vaccinated.
Coaches/bench staff and Volunteers need to be fully vaccinated.
(This can be submitted by email at [email protected]
or shown to our Privacy Officer Shannon Zedic
PHU and Arenas: Spectators/parents (including coaches and volunteers), siblings and anyone else spectating born in 2009 or older, will be required to show proof of Vaccination at the door, prior to gaining entry starting Sept. 22, 2021.
We will also need to continue to do active COVID screening for every ice time
who enters the building (includes: Players, coaches, siblings, parents, guardians, grandparents etc), and this can be completed with the SMMHA Qr Code posted at each arena.
The Board cannot express our gratitude enough to our members for being patient and supportive while we work through all of this.
