Stan Darling South Muskoka Bantam AE Bears have 2 Big Wins on the road!
On Saturday Oct. 22, the Stan Darling South Muskoka Bantam AE Bears travelled to Sundridge to meet the Almaguin Ice Devils for the first time this season. The Bears were first to get on the scoreboard with 2 back to back goals for D. Boese, assists to D. Dafoe and S. Schepp to end the 1st period with the Bears ahead 2-0.

The 2nd period was evenly matched with scoring chances at both ends. Bears net minder E. Guthrie continuously frustrated the Ice Devils, stopping them at every chance. Just over the 1/2 way mark of the 2nd period the Ice Devils got on the scoreboard to make it a 1 goal game. Within minutes the Bears answered with an unassisted goal by D. Dafoe making it 3-1 for the Bears at the end of the 2nd. The 3rd period was all Bears. Great teamwork and awesome passing plays saw the Bears put another 7 goals on the scoreboard. Goals scored by, C. Thomas, D. Dafoe, E. Goodfellow, Z. Stephen, J. Cousineau, a pair for Q. Greenfield, with an assist to K. Johnson. Final score 10-2 for the Bears.

The Bears kept the pressure on to put another 2 goals on the scoreboard with only 1 goal at our end, score 3-1 at the end of the 1st period. Goals scored by C. Thomas & E. Goodfellow, assists to T. Hornick-Martin, Z. Stephen, C. Woodhouse, and E. Goodfellow. The 2nd period was all Bears. The Bears moved the puck well with crisp passes producing another 9 goals to end the 2nd period ahead 12-3.
