Stan Darling Insurance South Muskoka Bantam AE Bears win in the Championship game vs. Almaguin Ice Devils, final score 4-1...

The game started off with plenty of physical play with scoring chances at both ends but it was the Bears, once again that got on the scoreboard first. A slap shot from the point by D. Boese, assisted by D. Dafoe put the Bears in the lead 1-0 to end the 1st period. The Bears kept up the offensive pressure putting pucks at the net and holding the blue line. Minutes into the 2nd the Bears found the back of the Ice Devils net twice within less than 1 minute on the same shift, 1st goal scored by J. Loft, assisted by T. Hornick-Martin & Q. Greenfield, 2nd goal scored by T. Hornick-Martin, assisted by Z. Stephen, score 3-0 for the Bears.
With players from both teams in the penalty box and the Bears on a power play, another puck found the back of the Ice Devils  net to make it 4-0 for the Bears, goal scored by C. Thomas, assisted by C. Woolhouse. The Ice Devils did not give up... the Bears kept the Ice Devils to 1 goal... top notch goal tending by I. Fantuz, blocked shots by sprawling players, and 100% effort by all players for the entire game led the Bears to the win, final score 4-1. Great hockey all weekend, keep going Bears!
