Classification Changes
Please see the information below about classification changes and how it relates to SMMHA. Also note these titles are now if effect on our website and calendar with "Rep" referred to as "B" and "AE" referred to as "C"...

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) eliminated the use of Additional Entry (AE) as a team definition at their 2021 Semi-Annual Meeting.  As such the OMHA applied for and was granted an extension to continue with AE hockey for the 2021-2022 season.  The OMHA was also tasked with a plan to integrate AE hockey, and repositioning of existing base categories was integral in the integration of AE hockey.  This repositioning also provided an opportunity to align base categories with the OMHA Playdown structure.

The table below shows the repositioning effective for the 2022-2023 season.  South Muskoka was a Base Category BB with an AE entry AE3.  Under the new classification our First Team Entry (or Base Category) is B and our Second Team Entry is C.  No centres will have a Base Category of BB.
