Gravenhurst and Bracebridge arenas have made a change to their protocols as the cold weather approaches.
Effective Tuesday November 3, 2020 every child will be allowed to have 1 parent come into the arena with them and stay to watch for the duration of the practice/game. There has also been an amendment to what equipment needs to be worn into the arena to account for winter coat season.
The following are the new guidelines:
-1 parent / player is allowed in the arena.
-Parents must wear a mask the entire time they are in the arenas.
-The parent entering the arena must have also completed the health screening and be entered onto the contact tracing list.
-Once in the arena, the parent must stay. If they choose to leave they will not be allowed back in as the doors will still be locked during the practise/game time.
-We must not exceed 50 people in the arena.
-Players can now bring with them their shoulder pads to put on in the arena so they can wear their winter jacket outside.
-We are still only allowed 15 minutes to get dressed and 15 minutes to exit the arena. You should still come dressed with as much equipment on as possible and leave the same way.
-Change rooms will now be open in Gravenhurst. Please check the board and only use the room your team is assigned to so we don't go over the maximum number of people allowed.
-Change rooms in Bracebridge remain the same - maximum number of people is the total maximum and includes anyone in the change room - player, coach, or parent.
-A seating area will be opened up in the bleachers in Gravenhurst. Parents must only sit in that section. You may not scatter all over the arena to watch the practise/game.
-A seating section in Bracebridge will be opened up beside the elevator on the near side of entry. Do not sit in any other taped off areas.
