Playoff Rules 2013
General Rules
All teams must be ready 15 minutes prior to scheduled game time. All teams receive a 3 minute warm up period.
All games shall be a minimum of 10-10-10 minute stop time periods. Floods are between games only.
All referee decisions are final.
Only Coaches or Managers can present disputes to host Centre officials.
Round Robin Points
There will be (8) points awarded for each game as follows.
(a) Five (5) points to the winner of a game
(b) One (1) point for each period won.
(c) If period is tied, (1/2) point is awarded to each team.
All games will be decided with a win. Overtime Rules.
Sudden Victory
-No player changes during stops in play
-3 minute straight time periods
-1st 5 on 5
-2nd 4 on 4
-3rd 3 on 3
-4th 2 on 2
-5th 5 on 5, etc.
Penalties shall be served during all periods unless a team is reduced to no skaters. If this occurs, the opposing team adds a skater. Goalies must remain on the ice in overtime.
Tie Breaker
In the event teams are tied, the following procedure will apply.
(a) Head to head competition, highest points earned in head to head competition gets higher seeding.
(b) If teams still tied, the team with the least amount of penalty minutes will be seeded higher.
(c) If still tied, the team with the least number of goals against will be seeded higher. (d) If still tied, the team with the most goals for will be seeded higher.
(e) If teams still tied, seeding will be determined by a coin toss.
Their will be a gate at each centre. $10.00 for the weekend and the passes can be used at any centre for that weekend.
