Canadiens Take on the Leafs
In the Boston Pizza Novice House League Devision the Dodge Caravan South Muskoka Canadiens had a heart pounding game against the Leafs.
Both teams hit the ice with a lot of excitement but to find that we did not have any refs for the game. Trevor the assistant coach of the Leafs took to the ice and did an amazing job filling in as a ref.
The first period was filled with excitement and a pretty goal by the Leafs to put us behind 1-0 but our kids never lost a smile on there face or stopped cheering there team on. In the second period Wesley dug the puck out from behind the net and mad a great pass to Simon who put it deep in the net to tie the game at 1-1.
The third period was all setup to be a nail biter and it sure was. Andres was a brick wall in our net and the Leafs net minder was putting on a show of his own in his net. Our D was not letting much behind them and back check like I never seen. Then with Bodee taking the puck away from the Leafs and skating hard as well her winger Kead had many chances in from of the net. We managed to score our 2nd coal in the last few minute to win the game 2-1 over a very tough Leaf team.
