Wingham Ironmen and Highland Storm take Gold at Kris Clement Memorial!
The Kris Clement U15-C and U13-C tournament wrapped up in Bracebridge last Sunday, with the Wingham Ironmen shutting out the Strathroy Jr. Rockets, in a 2 - 0 game to take the U-15C title. In the U-13C division, the Highland Storm defeated the West Grey Warriors 6 -1 to take home the gold. Impressive hockey was played by all. Many thanks to the sponsors of the South Muskoka Bears' U15C and U13C teams, Muskoka Kia and Muskoka Highlands, for being such strong supporters of minor hockey.
Thanks as well as our teams who played strong and with heart this weekend and thanks to our amazing Bears families, who all pitched in to put on a great tournament and especially to Bears' siblings who ran such an awesome bake sale, to raise almost $650.00 for the U15 C team! Thanks as well to the Town of Bracebridge and Gravenhurst's arena staff and of course, our hardworking referees. Without all of you, these types of tournaments could not take place.
