February 4 game vs Huntsville Custom ElectricOn February 4th, Envotek faced off against the 2nd place powerhouse Huntsville Custom Electric, at the Bracebridge Memorial Arena. This was the rubber match of the 3 regular season games between the two teams. Envotek had previously pinned one of only two losses all season on the tough Custom Electric squad (their only other loss being against the undefeated Almaguin team).
The first period saw some fantastic end to end action, with both teams skating hard. Envotek kept pressing even after going down 1-0, and after a tough luck post on a breakaway, were able to score the equalizer. Kallum played his second game in a row in net and did a great job, turning back many scoring chances. In the end, Custom Electric was able to bury a few scoring attempts, and came away with a 4-1 win in this exciting affair. The boys were able to generate some scoring chances throughout the game, and never stopped hustling. The defence is beginning to take some opportunities to join the offensive rush more, so there were some great positives coming out of this game! Great effort Envotek!
Chris showed non-stop hustle in both ends throughout the match, and was rewarded with the only Envotek goal of the game (as well as the tough break ringing the puck off the post on a breakaway), making him the player of the game! Great job Chris!
