Having spent the middle part of the season in a month and half long slump, the NorStar Novice Bears entered the season ending MPS tournament looking to make a statement.  Their play over the last month had grown stronger with each game and they knew if they continued to worked together they would be able to send a message to the league before the start of OMHA playdowns.  Well what a message the team sent, going 5-0 to sweep the tournament and outscoring their opposition 22-7.  Up until the final second they proved every game that there was no better way to describe their play other than ...

 Coming off a big team effort win against Penetang the previous weekend, the NorStar Novice Rep Bears looked to continue that momentum into the holiday break with 3 games in two days to finish out 2015.

  With the Christmas break fast approaching the NorStar Novice Bears began the weekend with the first two of five games in eight days.  The Elmvale Coyotes and the Flames from Penetang were this weeks opponents in bear country and these bears were hungry for a win. 

This past weekend saw the NorStar Novice Bears traveling south to Lincoln to participate in the annual Doug Robinson Memorial tournament. With an unfavourable schedule and short bench, the Bears knew they would be in tough.

The NorStar Bears had a couple of tough games this past weekend to tune up before heading to their second tournament of the year next week in Lincoln.  The Penetang Flames and Haliburton Storm were not going to lay down though and let the Bears walk away with two W's if they had anything to say about it.  The players started a little sluggish in both games but seemed to grow stronger and faster as they wore on and came away with a win and hard fought loss
