In a furious battle between two hard working teams, the
Canadiens were edged 2-1 by the Leafs on Sunday, October 27th.
It was end to
end action with the Canadiens scoring first. Jacob broke up a rush by the Leafs and chipped the puck up to Alex who then made a heads up pass to Aiden. Aiden then blazed down the ice and blasted home a blistering shot past a helpless Leaf goalie.
The defensive pairing of Michael and Simon worked especially hard this morning. Michael did a great job of firing the puck up the boards in his own zone while Simon kept dangling the puck around the Leaf players on his way up the ice.
Andres was solid once again in net, stopping more than one breakaway.
All Canadien players came ready to play this morning and coaches were pleased with their hard work.
Congratulations to Aiden who, despite playing soccer all day on Saturday for his regional tryout, earned the Source For Sports Player of the Game Award. Aiden was everywhere on the ice, working hard every shift.
