Matt volunteered over 30 years of dedicated service to BMHA and SMMHA. During that time he assumed the roles of manager, trainer, coach, and was on the executive for a number of years. Matt had a true passion for hockey, player development and watching our teams compete. His real joy came from interacting with the players, even as his health failed, Matt was on the bench as trainer for the 2012-13 Midget Minor All-Ontario Championship team. This award is for the long term volunteer who has dedicated themselves to SMMHA and Minor Hockey year after year; season after season. This will be presented to the nominee who dedicates time for the pure love of the game and seeks the joy & success of the players in our organization.
