U11D Team - Bob Black Memorial Tournament CHAMPIONS!!
The U11D Bears team was in top form this weekend going undefeated in the round robin of the Bob Black Memorial Tournament in Oshawa.

As the snow rolled in the boys we singularly focused on the task at hand Sunday afternoon in the finals. Playing the South Kent Lightening in the championship game the Bears came out strong and outplaying them by a wide margin. In the dying seconds of the third the Lightening tied it up to go to overtime. 3 on 3 ensued and the Bears were called for a tripping penalty resulting in a penalty shot.  Morgan Cowley stood his ground and saved the day and the game with a beautiful stop.  A few minutes later the Bears broke up ice, Will Mawby made a sweet pass to Alex Nelson who toe dragged and sniped a top cheddar goal to clinch the championship.  Shout out to the entire lineup who refused to back down and never gave up the entire weekend, your hard work and dedication was rewarded with gold.  Go Bears Go!!
