Envotek - Game #11
January 14 game vs Wes Finch & Sons

On Sunday January 14th, the Envotek team took on Wes Finch & Sons, looking to avenge an earlier season 3-2 thriller loss, where the game winning goal was scored with only 20 seconds left in regulation.

Both teams came out strong in the first period, with Envotek eventually taking the lead on an effective backhand goal by Jaxon. The back and forth play continued, with the opponent countering to a second goal to make it a close 2-1 game. The team fans were then treated to a rarely occurring natural hat trick by Kallum to seal the win for Envotek, and capping off an amazing four goal performance. An added goal in the third by Wyatt made it a 6-1 final win for the Envotek kids!

After the game, the coaches praised the total team effort it took to produce this result against a very strong opposing team.  Although down two key forwards in John and Beckett, the team pulled together, with only three defencemen and two forward lines.   The defensive force of Austin, Finn, and Helmut backed each other up all game, broke up many offensive chances, and transitioned the puck out of the zone safely and effectively.   The strong forward line of Chris, Kallum and Wyatt showed their usual excellent chemistry when playing together resulting in several shots on net.  The other forward combination of Jaxon and Noah continued to click, with the welcomed addition of Aiden on the right side, who chipped in with an awesome assist.   Ben was his usual rock in net, closing the door on scoring opportunities whenever called upon. Great job Envotek!!!

The player of the game went to Kallum, not only for his 4 goal outburst, but his display of unselfishness giving up a chance at a 5th goal to set up a team mate for another goal!  Way to go Kallum!
