Progressive Waste Solutions Bears 'Clean up' for special award!
No... this is not a misprint. A major midget hockey team actually played a penalty free game and it was our South Muskoka Bears!
It happened during our Kingston Tournament (which the Bears won!) and the game sheet was entered into the Hockey Development Canada Sweepstakes for teams who played a penalty free game. As recognition for this rare accomplishment, every member of the team was awarded a one year free subscription to The Hockey News!
Congratulations to the Progressive Waste Solutions Major Midgets and hopefully they saved some of the 'clean play' attitude for the playoffs! It is an important way we can help ourselves to advance! Go Bears!
