The OMHA has introduced new residency guidelines this year such that a player who plays rep in a centre in our zone and is cut from the Midget system in their home centre, will have the opportunity to try out in the next nearest centre.

It is that time of year!Warm - up ice and tryouts start this week. Please check the schedule for times. A reminder....NO ONE is allowed on the ice if they are not registered. Please make sure you are registered. Someone will be at both arenas all week to help out. ALSO..If you are trying out for a rep team, a tryout card MUST be purchased before going on the ice. For Midget aged players, 15 year old times are posted as are Major times. Please only go to the appropriate time. If you are 15, then you are to go to the 15year old skates only until notified by the coach.

during our Hockey day in Muskoka, we will be hosting an equipment swap upstairs in the Bracebridge Arena. You can bring your childs used equipment and swap it for a size that fits, or if you have nothing to swap, you can make a donation. Everyone welcome!!! Staff will be on hand to help with correct fitting if needed.

SMMHA holds a Tag Day to raise money and offer you an opportunity to obtain your Volunteer Hours. 'Tagging' requires child(ren) to be accompanied by a parent, who then waits outside of selected locations across Bracebridge and Gravenhurst to receive donations that will help out SMMHA. The total number of hours that your player(s) puts in 'tagging' will count toward your 10 hours (or required Volunteer time). To arrange your 2015 tag day hours please contact Julie: Volunteer Coordinator, [email protected]
