Matt Kelley U18 C Tournament Wrapped Up with Minto Mad Dogs Taking Gold
The
Matt Kelley Memorial U-18C tournament wrapped up in Bracebridge last Sunday,
with the final game being played between the Minto Mad Dogs and the South
Bruce Blades. The Minto Mad Dogs were undefeated heading into the
Championship game, where they faced off against the South Bruce Blades, who had
won 3 of their 4 round robin games. Impressive hockey was played by all
but Minto took the Championship title beating the South Bruce Blades by a score
of 6 - 1. Many thanks to the U-18C South Muskoka Bears' sponsor, Edward
Jones Investment, for being such a strong supporter of minor hockey.
Thanks as well as our U18C team who played strong and with heart this weekend and thanks to our amazing Bears families, who all pitched in to put on a great tournament. Thanks as well to the Town of Bracebridge and Gravenhurst's arena staff and of course, our hardworking referees. Without all of you, these types of tournaments could not take place.
