Tim Greavette Memorial Championship Starts Today!
After almost 18 months of not being able to hold tournaments, SMMHA is extremely pleased to be hosting the 2021 Tim Greavette Memorial Championship, which starts today. We are so looking forwarding to hosting the following teams:
Minto Mad Dogs
Mariposa Lightning;
Stittsville Rams;
Thorold Blackhawks;
Huntsville Otters, as well as our home team, the
South Muskoka Bears.
While COVID-protocols have required that this tournament be a little more low key and smaller than usual, we anticipate that the competition, although small, will be fierce and we look forward to an exciting weekend of high level hockey.
Games start today at 2:00 p.m. and all games are played in Gravenhurst. Please check out the Tournaments page for details and times of the games. The Bears will take the ice today at 3:45 p.m., tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. and again at 4:00 p.m. The Championship games takes place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Please come out and support all of the teams in the tournament and enjoy some long overdue tournament hockey. It would be great to see some of our younger "Bears" come out and not only cheer the teams on but see some high caliber hockey. Good luck to all of the teams and hope you enjoy the weekend!
