Chub Downey 1960-61 Kinsmen Juv. Champs Annual Houseleague Championship
We are honouring the donations for years from this group of gentlemen by naming our Annual Houseleague Championship Tournament after Chub Downey and his group of players that became All Ontario Champions in 1960-61 season at the Juvenile Level.....
The stories they have, the pride they have, and the gratitude that they have for the support of the Kinsmen and the town who stepped up to support this team. They know that they could not have won with out support of equipment, transportation help and the encouragement. They are an amazing group of men who believe in giving back to pay it forward. For many years this group has collected funds out of their own pockets to give to local hockey. They have supported teams, tournaments, player equipment and this season they are adding $750 out of their own pockets toward the purchase of much needed goalie equipment into houseleague in our organization. On behalf of the Players, Coaches, Volunteers and Board we would like to thank this group for their continued support.
