Norstar Novice Rep Comes out with a Strong W!
"Good things happen when you skate fast!" says Coach Bryce!  The Norstar Novice Rep kids did just that today in Gravenhurst when they faced the Collingwood Blackhawks.

The Bears came out with a determination to win!  Early in the first period Tyson Jennings scored the first goal assisted by our captain of the day Brayden Reid.  Declan Ingram stood tall in between the pipes the entire game, making some stellar, quick saves!  At the 6 minute mark, Cohen Carlson buried the puck, assisted by Carter Imrie.
The second period saw the Bears working together like a solid team, utilizing all of the skills and strategies taught during practice ice time.  There were a few goals that were a result of fabulous passing, and playing positional hockey.  Jake Reynolds scored a beautiful goal unassisted, he never stopped skating, always rushing the net and back checking to catch the Blackhawks.  Jake was named the hardest working player and will have the C on his jersey for the next game.  Jake's goal was followed by one from Carlson (assisted by Imrie and Clayton), Jennings (assisted by Stickel and Willow Davidson), and Owen Stickel (assisted by Jennings), making it 6-0.
The Bears' feet seemed to slow down during the third period.  Collingwood never gave up and forged ahead keeping the puck in the Bears end.  The Blackhawks opened the third period scoring with a high shot at 13:03. One of our assistants, Cohen Carlson scored the Bears 7th goal with help from Imrie and Chase Geer.  The Blackhawks quickly answered back with a trickling goal at 5:31.  With the help of Carter Imrie and Hudson Watson-Fluker, Bennett Clayton scored the final goal with only 49 seconds remaining, to end the Bears on top 8-2.

This is a team to come out and watch!  They are super stoked about their tournament in Wiarton next weekend!
