Lots of action at both ends of the ice during the 1st period but it was the Bears that found the back of the net first to take the lead and end the period ahead 1-0. Elmvale Coyotes answered early in the 2nd period to tie the game up but the Bears responded within minutes to pull ahead and hold the lead to end the period up by a goal, 2-1.
The 3rd period was exciting for the fans as the Bears put 2 more by the Elmvale netminder and only allowing one goal to end the game with final score 4-2 for the Bears. Goals for the Bears were scored by Cyrus B. and Daniel D, each with 2. Bears netminder Cameron C. played a solid game between the pipes. Throughout the game we some great team plays, excellent passes and puck possession in the offensive end, and several bullet shots from the point creating rebounds and great scoring chances. The 3rd period was riddled with penalties, challenging the Bears to play shorthanded at times down by 2 players. Jordan K. showed some excellent pressure and back checking while the Bears were shorthanded to keep the puck out of our end. Player of the game certificates were awarded to Daniel D. and Cameron C.
