Saturday's meeting started off with play at both ends which set the tone for both games proving the teams are very evenly matched. The Storm was first to get on the scoreboard in the 1st period. The 2nd period brought action for both netminders with the Bears putting 2 by the Storm netminder and the Storm getting another one to end the 2nd period tied 2-2. Noah H. found the back of the net with a pass from Jordan K. to get the Bears on the scoreboard. Colton M. slammed one in the back of the net with a one-timer bullet from the point after receiving a beauty pass from Scott S. directly from the face off --- definitely a top 10 play of the week qualifier! End to end action in the 3rd period with 3 goals a side to end the game tied up 5-5. Goals for the Bears in the 3rd scored by John C., Jordan K., and Cameron C. with assists to Cameron G., Cameron C., John C., Noah H., and a pair to Jodan K. Netminder for the game, Porter K., stood tall and made some great saves.
Game 2 on Sunday once again showed how evenly matched these 2 teams are with end to end goals all game. The score was tied 4-4 late in the 3rd when the Storm pulled ahead with only 2 minutes remaining. The Bears pulled the goalie and with an extra skater had a couple of good scoring chances but just couldn't find the back of the net. Final score 5-4 for Highland Storm. Goals for the Bears scored by Connor M., Daniel D., Reyd T., and Cyrus B., assists to Cameron C.,Cameron G., Owen B., Connor M., and a pair to Daniel D. Great work by Bears netminder Cameron C.
