When A Team Starts To Gel
It was another exciting weekend for the Norstar Novice Bears.

First hitting the ice in Parry Sound on Friday against the Shamrocks. The bears opened up the scoring midway in the first period, with Alex Clayton sniping a goal from Mitch Hammond.  Then again just at the end if the period with the goal coming from Mitch Hammond, assisted by Jacob Jennings and Euan Greenfield. The boys came out soaring in the second as well with goals scored by Alex Clayton and Braydon MacKinnon with assists coming from Tyler Crockford, Ethan Loader, Jacob Jennings and Mitch Hammond. The team never stopped skating hard in the 3rd period adding 5 more goals. Ethan Loader sniped 2 goals with assists by Caleb Walker, Euan Greenfield and Wesley French. Jacob Jennings scored a goal, assisted by Alex Clayton. Later Euan Greenfield added another goal which was assisted by Tyler Crockford. The last goal if the game was sniped by Brayden Mackinnon. Assists by Ethan Loader and Wesley French.  Both net minders for the bears, Andres Alfaro and Ben Armstrong had a strong game which they split, only allowing one goal in the third.

The bears then traveled to Haliburton on Sunday to face the evenly matched highland storm. The boys had a hard fought game, which ended in a 1-1 tie. Both teams goals came in the third period. "Sick hands" Simmon Sickinger scored the bears only goal which was unassisted. Again both goalies Andres Alfaro and Ben Armstrong stood tall in net with Armstrong receiving the teams first player if the game award. Way to go Bears!! Good luck this weekend.
