Terry's Independent Tykes Divide and Conquer
The Terry's Independent Tykes traveled to Parry Sound for a one day 3 on 3 tournament filled with fast paced skating and fun and a Sunday match up with Muskoka Rock.

The Terry's Independent Tykes were divided but conquered at the Parry Sound 3 on 3 Fun Day held at the Bobby Orr Memorial Arena on Saturday. The Tyke Bears split into two teams, faced opponents from Parry Sound, Haliburton, Coldwater, and Midland in a jam packed day of 3 on 3 challenges.

Our A Team consisting of Jace C., Lilli D., Everett B., Evan G., Edwin G., Kellan S., and Cohen C., and Tyson J., skated hard and fast winning 4 out of their 5 games handily over their various opponents.  The stick handling, foot speed and goal tending were incredible.  Their only loss came to the PS Blue Leafs team, whom they had a 2nd match up against in the final.  Even though they played 5 previous games, and the gas tanks were low, this team came out hard and strong letting Parry Sound know they were there to WIN, and WIN they did.  The A Team came out scoring early securing an 8-3 W to capture the A Division Championship.

Our B Team consisting of Willow D., Palmer B., Carter I., Jackson M., T.J. B., Alex S., and Bennett C., dominated the B side, going undefeated in round robin play easily advancing to the B side final against Midland.   Duplicating the play of the A Team, these Tykes rocked it with fast, precise skill, power, as well as agile goal tending.  They worked through low fuel to a 10-4 W over the Midland Centennials.

We are so proud of how all of our Tykes played and behaved during the day!  GO BEARS GO!

AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF the Tykes showing their passion, heart and endurance traveled to Port Carling on Sunday afternoon to take on a match up with Muskoka Rock .  Showing no signs of exhaustion, the Bears came out hungry for a W.  The Bears opened up the scoring 30 seconds in.  The Rock came back quick to tie it up. There was no looking back from there The Bears team all worked together with strong offense and defense to lead the game for all three periods!  Congratulations to Kellan S., for earning the hardhat for hardest worker and our two players of the game Evan G. and Cohen C.  Way to work it Tykes!
