Terry's Independent Tyke Select Bears AWESOME!
The Terry's Independent Tyke Select Bears headed into Highland Storm territory for another exhibition match up.  The two teams met earlier in the month, with the Storm coming out ahead 8-6.  The Bears were hungry for the victory and knew what they had to do to get it.

WHAT AN AMAZING GAME!  The Tyke Bears certainly did not disappoint those watching.  This game was fast, strong, full of end to end skating, turn over creating, crazy net minding goodness.

The Bears' Jackson M. opened up the scoring half way through the 1st with a sneaky slide in past the Storm's goalie. With 1:18 left in the 1st the Storm fired one in past T.J. B's glove to even things up.  Lilli D. wanted nothing of this and 19 seconds into the 2nd took the face off, broke through the Storm's D to fire one in to take the lead.  No sooner had the Bears gone ahead, the Storm tied it up for 2 a piece.  The rest of the 2nd period was an end to end defensive battle.  The skating, pressure, puck stealing, and net minding, kept the fans on the edge of their seats wanting more.   We entered the 3rd in a 2-2 dead lock.

The Storm was a brewin' not being able to command a sizable lead in their own barn. The Bears Edwin G. stepped between the pipes for the 3rd period ready to go.  Lilli D. was fierce in wanting the lead back and took a sweet pass from line mate Willow D. and went top shelf to take a 3-2 lead.  Carter I. was strong on the puck helping out his line.   The Storm answered quickly and we were locked up once more time.   The Storm struck again only a minute later to go up 4-3. The teams keep skating and the Bears were muscling and created tight pressure in the corners, but the Storm managed to create a turn over and pop another one past pipe blocker Edwin G.  The Bears didn't get discouraged!  They rallied together and kept themselves in the game.  The Storm was still whipping its wind and added a 6th with 10 mins left.  The Bears took 2 penalties and killed them off beautifully!  With 1:44 left quick hands Cohen C. was determined to poke one past the Storm net minder and SUCCESS!  The Bears fans were going crazy!!  With a shot of adrenalin pumped into the team, Kellan S. picked up a Storm turn over and skated hard between two defenders to make it 6-5!  The Bears fans were roaring!  With under a minute left Evan G grabbed the puck and with a scrum in front of the net, thought it rolled past the line.  The goal was called off.  An exciting but unfortunate loss for the Bears.

Kudos to the Bears strong Defensive unit of Bennett C., Everett B., Alex S. and Evan G. who skated, stole the puck and back checked like champions!

WAY TO GO BEARS!  What a memorable exciting game from every single one of our players!
