Van Dyk Natural Stone Kodiaks Staying Tough
The Van Dyk Natural Stone Kodiaks headed up to Huntsville again for a match up with Near North Business Machines Otters.

The Kodiaks were pumped up and ready for action, looking to pull out another W in the Otter's den.  Again, we did not know what to expect as this was another Otter's team we had yet to face.   The players hit the ice and did not let the size or the look of the team throw them off their game.

Our Kodiak Bears opened up the tally with a quick up the ice pass from D-man Evan G. to winger Mackenzie C. for a slip in past the Otters net minder.  Both teams kept the game tight with quick skating, precise stick handling, tight coverage and superior net minding.

"Mack-Attack" - Mackenzie C.  added goal number 2 to his count at 7:11 of the 2nd period with a beautiful set up from lineman "Jack-Mack" - Jackson M.  The Otters, on a Bears turnover, moved the puck into Bears territory and with a quick snap of the wrist they were within one.  The Otters struck again after the face-off and with 5:11 left in the 2nd tied it up.   The Bears weren't discouraged, they gathered together as a team to take control, and then Jackson M. and Mackenzie C. switched it up, this time a slick pass from Mackenzie C. allowed the quick hands of Jackson M. to pop one by the Otter's cage boss with 32 seconds left in the 2nd.   Bears up 3-2.

The Kodiaks were wanting more and continued to dominate the pad in the 3rd.  Lilli D. snapped one in from the point 45 seconds in taking the pass from Jackson G.   The team continued to press and tie up the Otters, and Christian C-K was superb between the pipes.  Jackson S. and Edwin G. on D both stood tall creating an unbreakable barrier for the Bears.  Forwards Kellan S., Carter I. and Willow D. skated and moved the puck up and down.  Evan G. slid in another to add to the Bears lead.   The Otters put another in to lessen the Bears lead, but the Bears sealed the deal with a beautiful rebound by Lilli D., with assists from Willow D. and Carter I.

Another fantastic victory in the books for our Kodiaks, who once again played like a cohesive, meshed unit.

GREAT JOB KODIAK BEARS!!!!!
